A seasoned business leader with a professional career spanning more than twenty-five years, Thomas has led, directed, and managed various mining and other businesses, in the process gaining significant exposure to operations management, corporate governance, leadership, and strategy. He is the Managing Consultant of Ganesha Consulting Services (Pvt) Ltd., Founder and Managing Director of Donatus Mining Services (Pvt) Ltd., and Gaurisha Transport and Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. He currently sits on the boards of directors of the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd., and Fraser Alexander Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. He has also previously served as Managing Director of Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited, Managing Director of Shamva Mining Company (Pvt) Ltd., and Chief Executive Officer of Mbada Diamonds (Pvt) Ltd.
Thomas is a certified Professional Director® (Governance SolutionsTM, Canada) and is a transdisciplinary executive holding the following academic and professional qualifications: Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Mining Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Honours Degree, Master of Business Administration Degree, Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance Degree, Master of Commerce in Economics Degree, Master of Commerce in Strategic Brand Management Degree (candidate), an Advanced Certificate in Company Direction (IoDZ), and a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competence (Zimbabwe). He has also attended various trainings, workshops, and seminars in Governance, Strategy, Leadership, and Sustainability.
Driven by his passion for good corporate governance in Africa, Thomas provides consulting and training services, majoring in Corporate Governance, Strategy, Leadership, and Sustainability, through Ganesha Consulting Services (Pvt) Ltd. He invests significant amounts of time in the training and development of directors, company secretaries (governance professionals), and senior executives across different industries and sectors. This is combined with his passion to see the economic liberation Africa, leveraging her demographic dividend and natural resources.
He is a member of the following professional bodies and associations: the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ), Institute of Directors Zimbabwe (IoDZ), Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA), Institute of Corporate Governance Zimbabwe (ICGZ), Zimbabwe Economics Society (ZES), and the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ).
